A Travertine Shower Wall can be used successfully in wet areas, but the stone panel itself should not be treated as the waterproofing layer; showers require a properly designed waterproof substrate or membrane behind the finish. Panel thickness and fixing method depend on size, substrate and engineering. Real travertine contains natural pores and mineral variation unlike printed travertine-effect panels, and sealing should be specified according to the selected material and exposure.
