Stone Accessory Care and Buyer Checklist

Care instructions should match the stone, finish and intended use of the particular accessory. Before ordering a retail collection or specifying a hospitality item, ask for the material reference and approved care requirements. A decorative product photograph does not establish food-contact suitability, resistance to heat or compatibility with every cleaning product.

Basic stone care

The Natural Stone Institute recommends neutral cleaners and soft cleaning materials. Acid-containing products can etch calcium-carbonate stones, including marble and travertine; avoid vinegar or lemon-based cleaning. Rinse away cleaner and dry gently. Sealing may improve stain resistance but does not make stone stain-proof. Follow the product-specific instructions and test unfamiliar products in an inconspicuous area.

For general background, consult the Natural Stone Institute care guidance. Those recommendations do not replace the instructions approved for a particular ROQVERA product or surface treatment.

Write care information for the actual product

A care card for a coaster may need different information from a tray with handles or a bathroom dispenser. Identify the parts included, the relevant material and surface treatment, and any use restrictions confirmed during sampling. Keep wording consistent between the product listing, packaging insert and customer service replies.

Prepare a retail or project approval checklist

Inspect the sample against the drawing and intended setting. Check its usable dimensions, edge profile, stable placement, fitted components and appearance. For a coordinated bathroom set, make sure the arrangement leaves room for normal use and cleaning. For a shelf or mounted product, request product-specific installation information and suitable hardware advice rather than using generic accessory instructions.

Ask which checks apply to the proposed product and destination. If your market requires a particular test report, label or document, identify it in the enquiry before agreeing an order. A material description alone does not establish regulatory compliance, food-contact approval or a safe working load.

Protecting the product during delivery

Record the approved packaging arrangement as part of the product specification. Clarify individual protection, the layout of components and any retail presentation requirements. When the buyer needs a specific packing test, state the method and acceptance requirement for review. Packing, freight and responsibility for destination charges should be explicit in the commercial terms.

Keeping information consistent on repeat orders

Keep the approved product link or SKU, drawing, material reference, dimensions, finish, packaging and care wording together. Tell ROQVERA if a new order changes the setting, target market or required documents. This helps prevent a previous specification being assumed to cover a different use.
